Nerf War Rules For

Three Cups of Nerf

Player Count:

2-6

Playing Time:

5-15 min

Age:

 7+

Untested

Game Designer:

 Adam (Game Mode Repository)

Description:

This is a target based game mode and works really well when you only have a few players. Each team has three targets that they are trying to defend while they attempt to shoot down the opposing teams targets. However it’s not just about shooting the targets down but you need to do it quickly before the opposing team has time to reset them.

Quick Reference Rules:

  1. Targets can only be shot down

  2. Players are allowed to set targets back up

  3. Players cannot enter the keep out zone of the opposing team targets

  4. Infinite lives. 5 second respawn.

No

Why is there a keep out zone?

This just makes the game more interesting by forcing the players to shoot accurately from a distance instead of allowing them to run up to the target and shoot it point blank.

Basic Supplies

  • Foam Blasters (e.g. Nerf)

  • Extra Ammo

  • Bunkers (e.g. cardboard)

  • Copy of Rules

  • Team Indicators (Optional)

Setup Required:

  • Place 3 targets on each side of the field so that they are equally defendable/ attackable. It’s a good idea to place the targets such that they cannot all be shot from one location.

  • Use cones or some other means to create keep out zones around the targets so that players cannot run up and shoot the targets point blank.

About Me

I only recently made the switch to being a Nerf/ Foam enthusiast back in 2018. Rather than modding Nerf blasters, I found my real passion was in the creation of game modes.
